Joining adult basketball without already having a team

You do not need to arrive with a complete team to play adult basketball with DNBC. Individual players, friends and existing groups can all enquire.

Start with your experience and preferred level

Adult competition ranges from social and developing divisions through intermediate and advanced levels. DNBC considers your experience, preferred level and available roster positions when identifying a suitable opportunity.

Try the environment first

For individual players and small groups, DNBC can organise a free training session with a prospective adult team where appropriate. It is a chance to meet the team and coach before making a commitment.

Adult teams still train

Every DNBC adult team receives one hour of structured team training each week at Fort Street High School. The same coach who works with the team during the week also coaches the team during competition games.

What happens after placement

Once a suitable roster opportunity is confirmed, players complete Basketball NSW / CSBA registration, organise the compulsory DNBC playing uniform and join their team for training and competition.
