Adult Basketball · Sydney's Inner West
Join an adult basketball team, even if you do not already have one.
DNBC runs structured men's and women's basketball teams for players aged 17+, across social, intermediate and advanced competition levels. Join individually, bring your friends or bring an existing team. Every DNBC adult team receives weekly team training with an experienced coach, and that same coach leads the team on game night.

Three Ways to Join
Tell us your situation. We'll help with the rest.
I'm Joining Individually
Submit an enquiry and DNBC can organise a free trial with a potential team before recommending the most appropriate placement based on experience, preferred level and available roster spots.
I'm Joining With Friends
Tell us who you want to join with and we'll try to place the group together where there is sufficient availability on an appropriate team.
We Already Have a Team
DNBC can discuss bringing a complete team into the club structure, including competition administration, weekly team training and game-day coaching.

More Than Just a Competition Entry
Train as a team. Play as a team.
Every DNBC adult team receives one hour of structured team training each week at Fort Street High School. Players train with the teammates they compete alongside, allowing the group to work on skills, team chemistry, offensive and defensive concepts and game preparation. The coach who works with the team during the week then coaches that same team during competition games.
Weekly Team Training
One-hour coached team session every week.
Experienced Coaching
Structured basketball coaching rather than relying solely on players to organise themselves.
Same Coach on Game Night
The coach preparing the team during training also leads the team during competition.
DNBC Administration
DNBC manages club competition administration and liaison with the City of Sydney Basketball Association.
Social to Competitive
There's a division for different levels of basketball.
Premier League / Division 1
Advanced / Competitive
Advanced / competitive - generally suited to experienced players who play regularly, maintain a strong level of fitness and are comfortable competing at a higher standard.
Division 2
Intermediate
Intermediate - suitable for players with basketball experience who want structured competition without necessarily playing at Premier or Division 1 level.
Divisions 3 & 4
Social / Developing / Beginner
Social / developing / beginner - suitable for newer players, returning players, social players or people looking for a less demanding competitive environment.
Not sure where you fit? That's exactly what the free-trial process is for.
Adult Competition
Find your division and game night.
All adult competition games are played at At Alexandria Basketball Stadium (Comet Stadium).
DNBC participates across three adult competition seasons each year.

Free First Session
Not sure which team or division is right? Come and train with us first.
For individual players and small groups, DNBC can organise a free training session with a prospective adult team where appropriate. This lets the player meet the team and coach, experience the weekly environment and helps DNBC assess the most appropriate level. There is no obligation to join simply because you attended a trial.
